Campolieti RipassoCampolieti Ripasso

Color: Deep Red| Grapes: Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella
Winery: Luigi Righetti| Price: 135 NOK| Also available in Magnum size (150cl): 289.90 NOK
Ripasso is often referred to as baby Amarone. The best specimens have the same juice, power and light sweetness as an Amarone, but lower alcohol content and more elegance. Ripasso is produced by letting an otherwise finished wine lie on the lees from the dried Amarone grapes for a more rich and full-bodied wine with a little sweetness. The wine has a dark ruby red color and intense aroma of dark cherry and sweet spices. The flavor is rich yet elegant with plenty of sweet cherries, prunes, vanilla and with a lovely, long finish. Ready to enjoy now but can also be aged for up to 5 years. This wine pairs perfectly with roasted meats, risotto and pasta dishes.

Capitel de' RoariCapitel de Roari Amarone
Item number on Vinmonopolet: 4235401 (75cl), 4235405 (150cl)
Color: Dark Red| Grapes: Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella
Winery: Luigi Righetti| Price: 219.90 NOK| Also available in Magnum size (150cl): 489.90 NOK
In the local dialect Roari means oak trees and refers to the trees which draw up the boundaries of the vineyards. The grapes are harvested late, sorted carefully and left to dry in attic of the vineyard, the so-called “fruttai”. After approx. 4 months, the grapes lose 40% of their weight and they are now ready to be pressed gently. The fermentation is a slow process hereafter the wine is stored 3-4 years in small French oak barrels. This adds extra durability, strength and complexity. Rich and creamy taste of fresh blueberries, prunes, cinnamon, chocolate, vanilla. This wine pairs perfectly with wild game, roasted and red meats and goes perfectly with aged cheeses like Parmigiano Reggiano.

ReciotoValpolicella Classico Recioto
Item number on Vinmonopolet: 5684602
Color: Deep Purple| Grapes: Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara
Winery: Luigi Righetti| Price: 119.90 NOK (37,5cl)
The production of Recioto is similar of Amarone as the same grapes are used, however pressing and vinification is delayed until the end of February/early March, which makes this dessert wine Amarones sweet and intense counterpart. The fermentation is stopped in the process of increasing sugar concentration, which naturally gives a sweeter wine, but with lower alcohol content. The Recioto has a deep purple color and intense aroma of ripe cherries, prunes, raisins and nuts. The flavor is sweet, concentrated but still exudes certain freshness with an exquisite, long finish. Enjoy it now or age it up to 7 years. Best when enjoyed with chocolate based desserts or aged cheeses and salami.
